Senior Corporate Development Advisor

Über die Rolle

As Senior Corporate Development Advisor at Equine Care Group (ECG), you will play a key role in executing ECG’s international growth and M&A strategy. You will take ownership of transactions from initial assessment through signing, closing and the start-up of the integration, working closely with ECG’s management team, Board of Directors, local management teams and external advisors.


Key responsibilities:

  • Managing M&A Processes: Take ownership of M&A transactions from A to Z, including valuation and financial analysis, non-binding offers, due diligence, binding offers, negotiations, transaction documentation and closing.
  • Supporting M&A Strategy: Support the execution of ECG’s M&A strategy by identifying, assessing and prioritizing acquisition opportunities across ECG’s international markets.
  • Preparing Investment Proposals: Prepare investment memos, financial analyses, Board presentations and M&A updates to support decision-making at management and Board level.
  • Coordinating Due Diligence: Coordinate financial, legal, tax, operational and other due diligence workstreams together with internal stakeholders and external advisors.
  • Supporting Transaction Documentation: Review and coordinate key transaction documentation together with ECG’s legal advisor and ensure that agreed commercial terms are appropriately reflected.
  • Launching Integration: Support the transition from transaction to integration by setting up and coordinating the relevant integration workstreams together with ECG’s management team, functional teams and local management.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with practice owners, veterinarians, management teams, advisors and other stakeholders throughout the transaction process.

Wer bist du?

  • Experience: More than 5 years of relevant experience in corporate development, M&A, Transaction Services, investment banking, private equity or a related field.
  • Approach: Hands-on, structured, autonomous and entrepreneurial, with the ability to take ownership of transactions and drive processes forward.
  • Environment: Proven ability to perform in a fast-paced, international and multicultural environment while managing multiple transactions and priorities simultaneously.
  • Private Equity: Experience within a private equity-backed company and/or a buy-and-build environment is considered a strong advantage.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Languages: Fluency in English and Dutch or French is required.
  • Education: Master’s degree in economics, business administration, finance or a related field.
  • Passion: An affinity with horses and/or the equine industry is considered an asset.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel.
