Paul Hendrikx, graduated together with Tom Mariën at the University of Ghent in 1995. They have been friends for more than 25 years. After their studies, Tom stayed at the University to further specialize in Equine Surgery and Paul was determined to become an orthopedist. For one year he crossed throughout Europe to learn as much as possible from several famous orthopedists.
In 1996 he started his own practice with a focus on sport horses. His practice grew exponentially and in 2005 he opened his own orthopedic center in Maasmechelen where he receives horses mainly from Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany. Together with his colleague Mark Deuss they also offer ambulatory care at home.
Paul is very delighted that at the top of his career, he can join the Equine Care Group. After 25 years, he can again collaborate with Tom and the other ECG members. Together they will share their passion, their knowledge and their expertise to strive for perfection when it comes to Equine health and medical care.
